1282234 Mineral mining machines EICKHOFF MASCHINENFABRIK U EISENGIESSEREI mbH Geb 30 Nov 1970 [11 Dec 1969] 56821/70 Heading E1F [Also in Division F1] A drum-type coal-cutting machine has at least one cutting drum rotatably mounted on a pivotable arm enclosing a drum-rotating gear train, the two gear wheels nearest the drum and the surrounding arm structure being adapted to operate as a gear pump for gear lubricating oil, there being return flow ducting from the pump to the pivoted arm end. In the machine described, Fig. 3, cutting drum 4 is rotatably mounted on arm 6 enclosing a drum-rotating gear train, the gears 23, 24 and the internal arm projections 44 forming a reversible oil pump. Alternative pump outlets 45, 49 are connected, Fig. 4, to cylinder 51 containing piston 50 which serves to direct pumped oil to return flow duct 47.
