Abstract

1,092,294. Cutter drum type mining machines. GEBR. EICKHOFF MASCHINENFABRIK U. EISENGIESSEREI, m.b.H. April 12, 1965 [April 17, 1964], No. 15379/65. Heading E1F. For a cutter drum type mining machine slidably mounted on a conveyer control of the height and angle of the drum shaft with respect to a reference plane is effected by two jacks being so located between the gear head and motor casing of the machine and engaging the side walls of the troughing of the conveyer that the axes of the jacks are in a plane transverse to the direction of travel of the machine. The height adjustment is caused by simultaneous feeding of pressurised fluid to the jacks whilst the angle adjustments is controlled by the differential feeding of said fluid to the jacks.
