Abstract

1281325 Transistor amplifier circuits SIEMENS AG 12 Jan 1970 [13 Jan 1969] 1353/70 Heading H3T In a transistor, multistage, wideband amplifier (a few Hz to 10 MHz) having negative feedback for A.C. and D.C. and input and output terminals connected via coupling capacitors, the time constant defined by the imput impedance and capacitor is different from the time constant defined by the output impedance and capacitor by a factor of at least twenty. The object is to reduce overshoot in the output. In the circuit shown the input stage I has capacitor C1 and transistor Ts1 stabilized by a forward biased diode Gr1. It is coupled to an intermediate stage II transistor Ts2 by Zener diode ZD1 and C2, and this is connected to an output stage III comprising push-pull transistors Ts3, Ts4 connected to output terminal A via capacitors C7, C9. The feedback path comprises network G. In Fig, 2 (not shown) a further stage is added (IV), the feedback path includes an additional, variable, capacitor (C4) and additional outputs are provided (B, C). These are a "measuring output" in parallel with A and an "analyser output" connected to Ts4 only via an auto transformer (T1). In this case also the supply is connected via a stage (S) comprising two transistors to provide a smooth, low-ohmic source.
