Abstract

1280789 Soil fumigator AMICA SRL 19 April 1971 [26 June 1970] 22957/71 Headings AID and A1E A combined furrow cutting and soil fumigating machine comprises a front frame 10 resting on furrowing blades 42, 44 mounted on tool frame 30 and a rear component 26 resting on at least one wheel 36. A plurality of pumping units 34 one for each fumigant is driven by the wheel. The fumigant is supplied from detachable tanks 20, 22 to the pumps and thence via distributing manifolds to the blades 42, 44. Tool frame 30 can be adjusted laterally. The rear component 26 is attached to front frame 10 via bar 28 and pivot 24 and its pivoted movement is limited by rod 29 and sliding connection 37, 39. For steadier fumigant flow air may be supplied to the delivery side of the pumps by chambers 40 to maintain fumigant pressure. Conveniently the blades 42, 44 are arranged in two parallel rows. Preferably the tanks 20, 22 are lined with a fumigant resistant plastics material.
