Abstract
1280611 Frozen pies BRITISH OXYGEN CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [31 March 1970] 15285/ 70 Heading A2B A method of producing a frozen pie comprises forming a pastry base of desired shape, moulding a filling to conform to the shape of a casing to be formed by the base and a pastry lid therefor, freezing the filling and placing it in the base, putting the lid in position and freezing the base and lid. The filling may comprise fruit or meat and/or vegetables. The filling may be cooked prior to or after moulding. The pastry may be in an uncooked, partially cooked or cooked condition. The filling and pastry may be frozen to below -18‹C using cold air or liquid nitrogen.
