Abstract

The filling can be readily handled either by hand or by machine when it has been frozen to a solid block. It is then wrapped in pastry, placed in the oven and baked. In accordance with German Patent (registration P 16 42 566.4) deep frozen pastry is used. An accelerated deep freezing method is employed to reduce the filling to a hard block at a temperature of minus 30 degrees C. Large quantities can be so treated and cut into suitable pieces after freezing so alternatively small pieces can be individually frozen, or even put into moulds and frozen.
