1279528 Furniture joints F GROSS 10 Dec 1970 [31 Dec 1969] 58615/70 Heading A4H [Also in Division F2] An article of furniture or a shelf assembly is formed from at least one right-angled corner block 1 provided with slots; elongated flanged parts 6, 8, 8 whose longitudinal marginal flanges engage in the respective slots 3, 5; 2, 2<SP>1</SP>; and 4, 4<SP>1</SP> of block 1 so that the flanged parts 6, 8, 8 extend from the corner block in three mutually perpendicular directions; and rods 9, 10 that are slipped lengthwise into and held in the flanged parts to serve for reinforcement and/or to allow the fastening of panels 11 to the rods 9, 10. Plates 12 can be fixed to the flanged parts by beaded strips 13. The panels 11 can be fixed to the rods 9, 10 by screws (16) Fig. 3 (not shown) provided with slotted heads that receive dovetail or other tongues (15, 15<SP>1</SP>) of screw head cover discs (14). One of the parts 8 can be replaced by a part 6.
