Abstract

1279317 Basic dye compositions CIBAGEIGY AG 25 July 1969 [25 July 1968 30 May 1969] 37464/69 Heading D1B Basic dye compositions comprise 1) 10 to 80% by weight of at least one cationic dyestuff the anionics of which is derived from a strong inorganic acid and 2) 90 to 20% of a solvent medium comprising a) 5 to 50% by weight of water, b) 95 to 50% by weight of at least one fatty acid containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms. Azo, methine, azamethine, acridine, azine, oxazine, xanthene, anthraquinone, and triphenylmethane dyes are specified, anions include phosphate, sulphate, methylsulphate, halide, zinc halide and nitrate, the solvents preferably being formic, acetic, propionic, chloroacetic and lactic acids. Anti foaming agents may also be present.
