Feeding - devices for granular and like materials.-A feed-roll for grain and seed cleaning machines or the lilie, the spikes of which are adjrstable relatively to the roll surface, comprises disks 3 rotatably mounted on a shaft 1 and having in their end surfaces recesses 4, Fig. 2, to accommodate flat bars 5 which form the spikes. Teeth on the inner ends of the bars engage with ribs or teeth 2 on the shaft. The disks are held together by a rod 7, and a spring-pressed pin 11 passing through holes in the rim and hub of the end disk engages the teeth 2 so as to lock the disks to the shaft. The amount of projection of the spikes is varied by withdrawing the pin 11 and rotating the disks about the shaft, after which the pin is re-engaged with the teeth 2. In a modification, Fig. 4, a spring rod 15 on the shaft 1 has a lug 19 which engages recesses in the hub of a pulley 17 secured to the disks 3.
