1277738 Electromagnetic overcurrent relays JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 6 Nov 1969 [2 Dec 1968] 57045/68 Heading H1N An overcurrent relay has an open magnetic framework defining a magnetic loop through which a cable can be passed and a pair of magnetically operable contacts mounted in or on part of the framework which is saturable before the remainder of the framework. The contacts are those of a sealed magnetic reed contact unit in a saturable tube 13 forming part of the framework which is completed by side members 11, 12 and an adjustable screw 14 held in position by a locknut 15. The current at which the contacts close can be set by adjustment of the screw 14 and a cable forming the operating coil can be passed one or more times through the framework.
