Abstract

1275624 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems KLOCKNER-HUMBOLDT-DEUTZ AG 3 June 1969 [5 June 1968] 28060/69 Heading G3P [Also in Division F1] A throttle valve 17 in the exhaust pipe 16 of an I. C. engine 13 is actuated by the output of an additional pumping element in the engine fuel injection pump 15 acting on a piston 21. The piston cylinder 19 is connected to the pump inlet through a duct 23 containing a throttle 22, the pressure downstream of the throttle acting in the piston spring chamber. The position of the valve is dependent on the pump output and therefore the engine load and an hydraulic damper 28 stabilizes the valve in relation to the pump output pressure pulses.
