Abstract

1275203 Valves XOMOX CORP 2 Feb 1970 4966/70 Heading F2V In a valve wherein the control of flow is effected by means of a rotary metallic plug, a rotary spherical plug, or a tapered plug-lift valve member, the valve seat is formed of, and the valve member is coated with a halogen substituted polyethylene material, such material minimizing the friction between the valve member and its associated seat and furthermore providing resistance to corrosives and solvents. In a preferred embodiment, the seat member is formed of a polymer or copolymer of fluorinated ethylene and the valve member is coated with a fluoroethylene polymer dispersed in polyamide resin material.
