Abstract

1,274,989. Vehicle lighting systems. SWFSPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER GUSTAV RAU G.m.b.H. 10 Dec., 1970 [21 Feb., 1970], No. 58581/70. Heading H2H. A lighting system for automotive vehicles comprises a lighting switch LS, a fog light switch NS, fog lights NL1, NLr and rear lights SL1, SLr, at least one of which rear lights; SL1 as shown; being provided with two filaments, one of which filaments has a higher output than the other, the lower power filament being switchable by the lighting switch LS and the higher power filament by the fog light switch NS. Thus during foggy conditions the front fog lights NL1, NLr are illuminated together with the light SL1 acting as a rear fog light. With the arrangement disclosed in the figure it is necessary for the head lights SW1, SWr to be switched on before the fog lights can be used.
