1324508 Vehicle lamp JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd 14 Dec 1970 [10 Jan 1970] 1322/70 Heading F4R A motor vehicle lamp comprising a reflector 11, a lens 13, a bulb holder 16, and a bulb 17, has a translucent or transparent section 15 at the rear of the reflector so that in use light can pass through the rear of the lamp. The translucent or transparent section 15 may be in the form of a synthetic resin collar mounted between the bulb holder and the reflector and secured to a flange 14 of the reflector, the bulb holder being a snap fit in this collar. The lamp may be a rear lamp or a side lamp in which case the light passing through the rear of the lamp can illuminate the boot of the vehicle, or the engine compartment respectively.
