Abstract

1,273,323. Refrigerating. AMERICAN STANDARD Inc. 10 Dec., 1970 [31 March, 1970], No. 58566/70. Heading F4H. A substantially flat condenser coil CC and a compressor CP are mounted as outdoor unit in a housing separate from the remainder of a refrigeration circuit (not shown) and the motor MO of a fan PF having horizontally mounted blades is mounted below the condenser to direct air from a lower inlet of the housing through the condenser to an upper outlet covered by a fixed or adjustable grille GR. The fan is supported in a venturi panel VN and supports a protection grille PG. The compressor is mounted in a chamber of the housing and is separated from the condenser by walls PD, TW of different shapes in different embodiments.
