Abstract

127,326. Fowler, H., and Salmon, P. April 19, 1917. Valves.-To produce an impulse every stroke, two single-acting cylinders are disposed in line with, and one on each side of, a double-acting cylinder B. Rotary inlet valves, which are each common to a pair of adjacent explosion spaces, are provided at F<1>, K<2>, and exhaust valves, which are also common to a pair of explosion chambers, at L<1>, L<2>. The space above the piston F serves for circulating cooling-air through the pistons and piston-rods.
