Abstract

1,272,816. Rotary-piston I.C. engines. TOYO KOGYO CO. Ltd. Sept. 9, 1969 [Sept. 10, 1968], No.44499/69. Heading F1F. In a central housing-section 1a for a trochoidaltype engine separate coolant-passages 4 between inner and outer wall-portions 2, 3 are established by ribs 7 and bosses 6 defining bolt-holes 5; and to reduce thermal stresses the ribs 7a and bosses 6a adjacent holes 8, 9 for ignition plugs are not connected to the wall-portion 2. The ribs 7a are optional and improve heat dissipation. The holes 5 accommodate bolts for the end-walls of the housing. A conventional central housing-section is described with reference to Fig. 1 (not shown).
