Abstract

1,272,713. Hydraulic jacks. E. GANSLOSER. 29 April, 1970 [25 June, 1969], No. 20492/70. Heading B8J. [Also in Division A4] An adjustable floor 1 for a swimming pool 2 has four lifting devices, e.g. 5 and 6. The contact surfaces of the lifting devices and floor lie above the plane E through the centre of gravity S of the floor parallel to the upper floor surface 1<SP>1</SP>. The lifting devices, e.g. 5 and 6, may be hydraulic rams sealed through the base 2 of the pool by flanges 6b and 21. Each ram projects into a hole in the floor 1 lined by a shell 14 to make contact; surfaces are part spherical and the shells are of sufficient diameter to allow the floor 1 to tip. The floor 1 may be of steel and concrete construction.
