Abstract
1,272,422. Pulse oscillator. INDUCTOSYN Ltd. 1 May, 1969 [14 May, 1968; 24 March, 1969], No. 22155/69. Heading H3P. [Also in Division G4] In a 4Mc/s pulse oscillator 1, Fig. 2, for a digital measuring system, (see Division G4), with the output of an inverter 35 high a capacitor 26 charges towards + V until the potential across it reaches ¢V causing an inverter 30 to switch and provide a low output which allows a capacitor 31 to discharge until the potential across it reaches such a low level that a further inverter 34 switches to provide a high output, which in turn, causes the first inverter 35 to switch and provide a low output. Thus the output of inverter 35 remained high whilst capacitor 26 was charging to ¢V and whilst capacitor 31 was discharging. With the output of inverter 35 low, capacitor 26 discharges; eventually the output of inverter 30 goes high whereupon capacitor 31 charges towards + V and when its potential reaches ¢V the inverter switches and provides a low output which, in turn, causes inverter 35 to produce a high output. The cycle then repeats.
