Abstract

1,271,960. Pressure gauges. WARD BROOKE & CO. Ltd. Oct. 9, 1970 [July 24, 1969], No. 37288/69. Heading G1L. In a measuring instrument ambient temperature variation compensation device a bell-crank 8 is connected at 9 to a first bellows connected via a capillary tube 3 to a temperature sensing bulb 1 and at 10 to a second bellows 4, connected to a sealed capillary tube 5, and at 12 to a pivot operating arm 14 and the arrangement is such that expansion or contraction of bellows 2 or 4 due to temperature changes will cause the pivot 12 to move the arm 14 horizontally away or towards the pointer 16 or merely move the pivot 12 vertically.
