[Also in Division H4] A telephone receiver comprising a core of a foamed thermoplastic material surrounded by an unfoamed skin of polymethyl methacrylate, is made by an injection moulding process in which a charge of polymethyl methacrylate is injected into a mould and before it sets a charge of a thermoplastic material containing a blowing agent is injected to within the first charge. A second charge of polymethyl methacrylate may be injected after the material containing the blowing agent, and preferably through the same injection orifice. Examples of suitable thermoplastic materials and blowing agents are given. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,156,217.
