Abstract
1,271,557. Moulding pipes. FULGURITWERKE SEELZE UND EICHRIEDE IN LUTHE BEI HANNOVER ADOLF OESTERHELD. 12 Nov., 1969 [13 Nov., 1968], No. 55382/69. Heading B5A. Deformable asbestos cement pipes of circular cross-section are shaped to a rectangular crosssection by inserting an expansible core comprising rails 1, 2 incorporating therebetween an expansible hose 7 so that when compressed air is fed thereinto from one end the rails are forced apart against the pipe interior and the rail 1 slides on bolts 3 fixed to the rail 2. One end of the hose is closed and has a vent. By appropriate shaping of the rails pipes of other cross-sections may be formed, i.e. pipes may be shaped from rectangular to circular form. The rails may be sub-divided to enable the dimension B to be reduced driving their introduction into the pipe.
