Abstract

1,271,471. Boot tree. L'ACCESSOIRE PARISIEN S.A.R.L. 22 April, 1970 [23 Oct., 1969], No. 19229/70. Heading A3B. A boot tree consists of a pair of members E 1 , E 2 which bear against the inner face of the boot upper and which are forced apart to stretch the upper by a pair of stay tubes R 1 , R 2 made of resilient material and containing a gas. Preferably the members E 1 , E 2 are hollow and are interconnected by the tubes R 1 , R 2 , the boot-tree being made in one piece from plastics material by a blow moulding operation. The walls of the tubes R 1 , R 2 may consist of moulded rings or a screw form as shown and the gas may be air atmospheric or higher pressure. A pulling tab T may be provided on the upper tube R 1 to enable the tree to be easily pulled out of the boot.
