Abstract

1,270,182. Valves. WILMOT-BREEDEN (TRUFLO) Ltd. 18 June, 1970 [27 June, 1969], 32711/69. Heading F2V. A valve has an 0-ring seal 20 positioned between two axially facing surfaces 18, 19 and placed over a rigid sleeve 21 which is a loose fit on a valve stem 10. The fluid flow path extends from an inlet 25 across the axially facing surfaces 18, 19 either above or below the 0-ring depending on which surface the ring adheres to when the valve stem 10 is moved downwardly, and thence axially between the valve member and the body either on the inside or the ouside of the rigid sleeve 21 to an outlet 44.
