Abstract

1,216,701. Valves. B. L. DELORENZO. 24 Jan., 1968, No. 3767/68. Heading F2V. A valve includes.a plunger 4 having 0-rings 24, 25, actuated by a piston 9 to control flow through a duct 2, and 0-rings 21 and 22, to seal the duct 2 from an actuating chamber 5, with a passage 24 to drain. The plunger 4 is connected to the piston by circlips 15 and 19. Actuating fluid passes to the chamber 5 via connections 6 and 12. A third sealing 0-ring 23 can be fitted which acts to clean the plunger. The passage 24 can have a screw-threaded connection at the exterior surface of the valve. The valve may be actuated by fluid in one direction and returned by a spring.
