126,958. La Valette, H. de. May 14, 1918, [Convention date]. Securing cams &c. on shafts.-In securing cams and other members on shafts, an intermediate member 3 has projections 5 engaging slots in the shaft 1 and cutting-projections 4 pressed into a ring 6 of copper or other soft material pinned to the cam 2. A screw 9 and washer 10 provide the necessary pressure. The ring 6 may be secured to either of the three members, the arrangement of the projections being modified correspondingly. The ring may be engaged by two sets of cutting-projections, or two rings, on the cam and shaft respectively, by two sets of projections on the member 3.
