[Also in Division G2] When a container 7 is absent from a cradle 2 an L-shaped member 4 is held in the dotted line position by a spring 20. When a container 7 is inserted into cradle 2 it pushes a leg 4b of member 4 out of the way, which causes leg 4a to pivot downwards whereby a pointed tube 11 attached thereto punctures a seal 29 on container 7. Container 7, which is preferably of polyethylene having a metallic foil seal 29, is intended for use in replenishing liquid developer in electrophotographic copiers. Thus tube 11 is connected via a tube 18 to a pump (not shown) which forces developer through a tube 17 to a developer tank (not shown). Tube 11 may be connected to tubes 17, 18 via a solenoid valve 14 which is periodically operated according to the length of copy paper fed.
