Abstract

1,269,061. Cable terminations. BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDER'S CABLES Ltd. 18 July, 1969 [19 July, 1968], No. 34533/68. Heading H2E. The termination of a metal sheathed mineral insulated cable 1 includes a metal closure disc 15 having an earth conductor 19 connected to it, and retaining a sealing compound 13 within a metal sealing pot 6. The metal spot which is wedged-in position on the metal sheath 4 of the cable by means of axially slit metal collar 10, is also swaged on to the,rim of'the disc 15. Insulation layers 21, 14, 20 are provided for the pot, conductors, and 'the -earth conductor respectively.
