Abstract

1,267,624. Putters. J. H. INGLIS. 19 April, 1971 [15 April, 1970], No. 17848/70. Heading A6D. A putter head 10 has the axis of the shaft socket in a shank 24 inclined to the sole of the head and in a plane of symmetry of the head, the head having two striking faces 11 and 12 to which the plane is parallel and having the masses to either side of the plane balancing one another. In the embodiment the head is formed as a segment of a cylinder, the curved face of which is the upper face 4 of the head, the sole 13 of the head having transverse grooves thereon. The head is made of aluminium, although it may be of wood.
