Abstract

1,266,832. Analysing gases. A. JENKINS & R. C. CORNELL. Aug.4, 1970 [April 27, 1970], No.20180/70. Heading G1N. In apparatus for detecting an electron capture tracer gas in a gas supply which is itself, or has as a constituent thereof, an electron capture material, e.g. to detect leaks, the tracer gas is separated from the remainder of the supply by diffusion through a membrane 12, e.g. a silastomer or polythene, and is then drawn into an electron capture detector 18 by a carrier gas stream substantially inert to electron capture.
