Abstract

1,266,110. Door trunnion. DORKEN & MANKEL K.G. 10 Sept., 1970 [17 Oct., 1969], No. 43414/70. Heading E2F. A pivot mounting for a door comprises a fixed, upwardly-open, hollow, e.g. tubular, guide 10, a mounting trunnion 11 axially displaceable in but non-rotatable in and projecting out of the guide 10, and a sleeve 13 positioned on and extending above the guide, an internal thread on the sleeve cooperating with an external thread on the trunnion. A pin 20 extends through the guide wall, the outer part resting in a recess in the floor 19 and the inner part in an axial groove 22 in the trunnion; the groove being closed at its lower end. A resilient, plastics insert 25 is incorporated in the trunnion. A plastics insert 12 on the trunnion cooperates with a bearing 14 on the door.
