Abstract

1,265,816. Rolled web dispenser. ZELLSTOFFABRIK WALDHOF. March 17, 1969 [March 16, 1968], No.13802/69. Heading A4G. A paper towel dispenser has a delivery roller, rotatable manually at 12 over which the towel may be pulled from roll 4, the roller carrying an end disc containing a cut-out segment 14 along the edges of which moves a roller 15 on one end of rod 16 tensioned by spring 17. On turning anticlockwise, the delivery roller to an intermediate position, the roller 15 moves along the segment curve 20 from a top position near the edge of the disc to a position near the disc centre but on the opposite side of the centre from the top position, at which centre position the delivery roll is stopped by a timing mechanism, but the roller 15 moves up the straight edge of the segment to the top position under the influence of spring 17. At this point the towel is torn off. On release of the time controlled stop, the delivery roller is rotated to its initial position to project the leading edge of the next towel portion by the roller acting at the top of the segment under the influence of spring 17. The delivery roller may be braked by a leaf spring acting on a cam.
