Abstract

1,265,725. Ozone generator. PURIFICATION SCIENCES Inc. 28 Feb., 1969, No. 46811/71. Divided out of 1,265,724. Heading H5H. An ozone generator comprises a pair of electrodes 11, 14 separated by a dielectric coating 12 of porcelain enamel fired on to electrode 11. The electrode 11 may be an iron, stainless steel decarbonized steel, copper or an alloy and the coating 12 may be formed by one or more layers. Electrode 14 may be a grid formed of conductive paint. In Fig. 3, a porcelain enamel coating 34 is fired on a cylindrical electrode 34<SP>1</SP> and is engaged by metal wire screen electrode 35 retained by metal bands 36, 37. A transformer 38 is mounted within the electrode-dielectric structure on a wooden or plastics base 32. The invention is disclosed in connection with Specification 1,265,724.
