Abstract
The three-phase gas discharge lamp has a bulb filled with a rare gas, or such gas combined with metal vapours or metal halides, and containing main electrodes forming three discharge paths and provided with appropriate current leads. The four main electrodes (2) form three discharge paths, arranged sequentially along the axis of the bulb. The sequentially arranged discharge paths are of identical length. An ignition electrode (4) may be fitted in close proximity of one of the four main electrodes. The current leads (3) of the four main electrodes are arranged in pairs. The current leads of distant electrodes are connected to the same via busbars with an insulating sleeve.
