[Also in Division H1] In a pair of terminal block assemblies A, B, Fig. 2, arranged side by side and each comprising a pair of terminals 5a, 6a or 5b, 6b., an electric switch or switch part in each block is arranged so that one pair of terminals such as 5a, 6a, Fig. 1, in a common block A may be interconnected and terminals such as 5a, 6b in separate blocks A and. can be interconnected. In the embodiment shown a pivoted contact 3a or a conductor 2 in block A engages conductor 1 in block A under the action of pivoted lever 4b containing a spring-loaded plunger. A similar contact (3b) in block B, Fig. 4 (not shown), is pivoted in a lateral extension 16 of conductor 2 extending from the block A into the block B. The blocks are separated by an insulating barrier plate (11), Fig 3 (not shown), which forms the subject of Specification 1,265,613 and has an aperture 17 for the extension 16. Two of the terminals 5b, 6b may be permanently interconnected by a fixed strap (10, Fig. 4, not shown). In a modification, Figs. 10, 11 (not shown), forming the subject of Specification 1,265,612 the lever switches 4b may be replaced by a drum switch extending through the two blocks A, B and having peripheral contacts (24) engaged by fixed contact extending from the terminals. The drum may be rotated by a lever acting through a unidirectional clutch whereby the drum may be rotated stepwise to give. any required combination of connections between the terminals.
