Abstract

1,264,513. Lighting fittings. SPECTRA (LIGHTING) Ltd. 12 Oct., 1970 [11 July, 1969], No. 34931/69. Heading F4R. A fluorescent lighting fitting comprises an elongated casing or batten having plug-andsocket type connectors at each end, whereby a plurality of such fittings may be connected togetherend-to-end and supplied with electric current from a common source at one end of the assembly. The control gear may be mounted inside the fitting or in trunking at the end of the assembly. The casing or batten is preferably of inverted channel form, the plates carrying the lampholders being provided with flanges at each side to snap into the mouth of the channel. A cover or lid for the space between the plates is fitted in a similar manner.
