[Also in Division C1] A resistor comprises a ceramic body, e.g. of forsterite, steatite, sintered or fused alumina, or zircon porcelain, having fired on to its surface a film consisting of 30-97À5% by volume of vitreous material and 2À5-70% by volume of at least one of MoB, MoB 2 , MoSi 2 and WSi 2 . The vitreous material may be a cadmium aluminoborate or a zinc or lead borosilicate glass.
