Abstract

1,260,830. Valves. K. FUJIWARA. 7 Dec., 1970 [6 Dec., 1969], No. 58099/70. Heading F2V. [Also in Divisions F3-F4] Discharge of condensate from a steam trap is effected by combination of a first valve having members 11, 14 adjusted to seat simultaneously on upper and lower seats 7, 8 in a valve box 10 under the control of a float 22 and a second valve 25 acuated by the expansion and contraction of a thermo-responsive mechanism. The mechanism may be a bellows 23, as shown, or a bimetallic mechanism. The trap has an inlet 2, outlet 3, condensate sump 6 and access covers 4, 5. The float may be fixedly or indirectly connected to the first valve.
