Abstract

1,259,722. Agricultural implement. APPLETON ENTERPRISES Ltd. 21 Dec., 1970 [24 Dec., 1969], No. 62869/69. Heading AID. An agricultural implement, attachable to a tractor at 8, produces ridges in or on which seeds are sown, and clears the furrows between these ridges for the passage of irrigation water. A set of first pressing tools 10, 11, 12 consolidates the ridges formed by tools 9. Seeds are delivered from hopper 17, through flexible pipes, to spouts 35, 36 which are vertically adjustable to sow seeds in or on the consolidated ridges. Immediately after sowing a set of second pressing tools 37, 38, 39, 40 further consolidates the ridges. Finally furrowing tools 50, 51, 52, 53, clear the furrows between the ridges.
