Abstract
1,259,533. Modified Starch. NALCO CHEMICAL CO. 15 July, 1969, No. 35695/69. Heading C3U. [Also in Division D2] A starch-polymeric polyamine composition comprises 60-98% by weight of starch and 2-40% by weight of a polymeric polyamine having a molecular weight of at least 500, the starch-polymeric polyamine having been prepared by cooking an aqueous suspension of the starch with the polymeric polyamine at 140- 250‹ F. for “-10 hours, the polyamine being formed by reaction of an alkylene dihalide and an amine of formula where R is -CH 2 -CH 2 -, -CH 2 -CH 2 -CH 2 -, or and x is an integer of 0-5.
