Abstract

Chucks. - A self-alining device for chucks comprises a 'bush e arranged between the tool-holder a and the shank band having radial ball races d, f, h, i in the opposing faces in which are arranged balls g to transmit the drive. The balls are retained by springs l and a sleeve m, and relative axial movement of the holder a and shank b is prevented by a thimble n and a spherical-ended bolt c. If displaced downwards, the holder a is returned to its central position by a spring q.
