Abstract
1,256,621. Amplitude keying; transistor gates. G. & E. BRADLEY Ltd. 13 Jan., 1969, No. 1968/69. Headings H3R and H3T. A circuit for switching a source of oscillation 15 having a constant mean level to a load 20, comprises switches 11, 12 which connect the load 20 in two D.C. circuits, the switches being so arranged that when one is on the other is off, and the impedances of the two D.C. circuits being such that the mean voltage drop across the load 20 is constant, irrespective of which switch is closed. In one condition of the switching signal 30 transistor 12 is on, turning off transistor 13 to disconnect the emitter supply of transistor 11. In this condition the source 15 is disconnected from the load 20 and the load current can be adjusted by resistor 17. In the other condition transistor 12 is off and transistors 11, 13 are on connecting source 15 to load 20 and disconnecting resistor 17. A diode 34 may be provided for temperature stabilization.
