Abstract

1,255,938. Ingot moulds. AIKOU KOGYO KAISHA Ltd. 10 Dec., 1968 [12 Dec., 1967], No. 58708/68. Heading B3F. [Also in Division C3] A steel ingot is cast in an ingot mould the head 1 or head-box of which is lined with a lining comprising at least two layers, an inner layer 3 of a heat-resisting material and an outer layer 2 of heat-absorbing material. The lining may comprise four flat tiles 2 wedged and held in the mould head 1 or head-box by four corner tiles 2a. In a further embodiment, a third intermediate layer of heat-absorbing material is used. The layer materials are disclosed (see Division C3).
