Abstract

1,255,306. Tobacco-smoke filter. H-2-O FILTER CORP. 12 Oct., 1970 [16 Oct., 1969], No. 48358/70. Heading A2C. The filter comprises at least one hollow container 14 partially filled with fluid, and compressed absorbent expansible sponge-like material 12 having particles of activated carbon 13 randomly disposed therein, the material 12 and particles 13 being moistenable by the fluid released upon rupturing the container(s) 14. The filter also includes conventional filter rods 15, and may be attached to a cigarette 11 as shown or to a cigar, or may be used in a smokers' pipe or cigarette hblder.
