125,483. Ledwinka, J. Dec. 3, 1917. Disk wheels; detaching from, and attaching to, permanent hubs.-A metal wheel is formed from a blank stamped out to form staggered spoke arms 14, the blank being rolled to form a tubu. lar hub 10 and the edges 11 12 welded &c. together. The arms 14 are then bent outwardly to bring the ends 15 into alinement for attachment to the rim. The latter is shown formed of two flanged rings 21, 22 recessed at 25 to receive the spokes. The hub 10 has conical seatings 17, 18 to engage respectively a fixed seating 28 on the permanent hub 26, and a split collar 33 carried by the cap-nut 30. Polygonal driving faces may be formed on the surfaces 17, 28.
