Abstract

1,253,392. Wall brackets; towel rails; soap dishes. CARRARA & MATTA S.p.A. Oct. 15, 1969 [Dec.23, 1968], No. 50769/69. Headings A4B, A4U and A4V. A wall bracket device comprises a wall mounted plate 1 having a pair of vertical guides 7 with inwardly directed, coplanar flanges 9, a braket arm 19 with a rear end projection 22 provided with laterally spaced vertical grooves 24 for downward sliding engagement with the flanges 9, and a boxlike frame 11 with a central opening 15 to receive the rear end of the bracket arm 19 and forming a cover fitted over the plate 1. An annular metal spring element 18 is fitted in a recess 17 surrounding the opening 15 and is engageable by a rear face 25 of the bracket arm 19. The rear end projection 22 seats on a cross-piece 8 on the plate 1 in the engaged condition. The arm 19 may be moulded integrally with articles such as a soap dish (28), Fig. 7 (not shown), a tumbler holder, clothes hangers, or lamp housings. Two horizontally spaced bracket devices may support a towel rail (27), Fig. 6 (not shown) between them.
