Abstract
1,251,986. Thermal insulation. P. H. THERMAL PRODUCTS Ltd. 17 Oct., 1969 [2 Nov., 1968], No. 52038/68. Heading F2X. A hot water cylinder is insulated by a plurality of strips which are each folded to define two strip lengths 14, 16 and are secured to the cylinder or one another with the folded portion at the top. The strip lengths are connected in folded position by a line of stitching across a folded corner or by button fasteners and are secured to the cylinder by tapes or cords passing about a pipe 26. Two end sections of the strip may be folded about a line at 45 degrees to the length so that they lie side by side and are connected by a staple. A tape or cord passing through the staple connects the folded strips to one another and holds them in position on the cylinder. Tabs on the strip lengths may be used to secure the bottom ends to one another.
