Abstract

1,251,200. Shore for temporary shutter. SYMONS MFG. CO. 3 Dec., 1968, No. 57417/68. Heading E1S. A shore 12 for supporting stringers of a temporary shuttering on which a floor is moulded comprise telescopic sections 40, 42 and an upper section 51 which is not rotatable and has a screw threaded end 52. A shore head 44 fits over and engages screw thread 52. The tubular part of head 44 is closed by a bearing plate 60 through which a rod 62 extends and is fixed to the head by pin 64 such that when the rod is rotated the head 44 is rotated. The rod is housed in rectangular member 69 which in turn is closed by removable filler plate 70 which supports the shuttering. A support cradle 46 consisting of a tube with two opposed stringer supports 76 slides over the head 44 and has two positions a raised one and a lowered one the latter being when it rests on shoulders formed by plates 106 which are welded to head 44 and the raised position being when removable spring clip 92 is inserted between the shoulder and the cradle. The stringer support arms of cradle 46 are provided with lugs 84 to engage corresponding holes in stringer 14 and also lugs 90 are provided on housing 69 which correspond to slot 91 on the stringer.
