Abstract
1,250,972. Thermal power plant. C.A. PARSONS & CO. Ltd. March 26, 1970 [March 28, 1969], No. 16338/69. Heading F1Q. A combined fluid cycle thermal power plant comprises a gas turbine cycle portion and a condensing vapour turbine cycle portion the gas turbine cycle portion comprising a compressor 1, a combustion chamber 3 and a gas turbine 5, 7 and the condensing vapour turbine cycle portion comprising a vapour generator 10, a vapour superheater 4, a condensing vapour turbine 15 and a vapour condenser 13. Means are provided to direct at least part of the working fluid of the gas turbine cycle portion flowing from the combustion chamber to the gas turbine through the vapour super-heater 4 and to direct working fluid of the gas turbine cycle portion leaving the gas turbine through the vapour generator. An additional combustion chamber (not shown), may be provided between the compressor and the gas turbine. An independently heated auxiliary vapour generator 16 may be provided.
