Abstract
1,250,850. Dispensing liquids. FLAMINAIRE MARCEL QUERCIA. 5 Aug., 1969 [6 Aug., 1968], No. 39124/69. Heading B8N. [Also in Divisions El and F1] A bottle for spraying a liquid disinfectant, deodorant or scent into, or into the environs of a water closet basin has a metering valve 10 actuated by the rising of the closet seat. In one embodiment, Fig. 5, the bottle is adapted to spray when the plunger 11 is depressed. The plunger forms the top of a hollow tube 51 with a hole 52 in the side thereof which is sealed from a chamber 57 by the spring- loading of the tube into the position shown. Liquid under pressure passes up pipe 56 and fills the extension 57 of the pipe and, via hole 59, a rubber-walled chamber 60. When the plunger is depressed, a valve 54 closes off pipe 56, and a fixed quantity of liquid is sprayed out of a hole 30 in the plunger. In the embodiment of Fig. 6, the liquid is sprayed from a chamber defined by plunger 11 and hollow tube 71, which chamber is filled through hole 30 when the plunger is depressed, and ejects the spray through the same hole when the plunger rises again.
